We process personal data carefully. This privacy policy provides information on which personal data we process in connection with our activities. In particular, we provide information on why, how and where we process personal data. We also provide information about the rights of persons whose data we process.

Terms

• Personal data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable person.
• Data subject: A person about whom personal data is processed.
• Processing: Any handling of personal data, regardless of the means and procedures used, in particular the procurement, storage, use, modification, disclosure, archiving or destruction of data.

Legal basis

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law, in particular the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the Ordinance to the Federal Act on Data Protection (OFADP). In addition, we process personal data, if applicable, in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

• We process the personal data required to carry out our activities in a user-friendly, secure and reliable manner.
• We process personal data for the duration required for the respective purpose(s) or if required by law.
• We may have personal data processed by third parties. We may process personal data jointly with third parties or transfer it to third parties.
• In principle, we only process personal data with the consent of the data subject, unless the processing is permitted for other legal reasons, for example to fulfill a contract with the data subject, to protect our overriding legitimate interests, because the processing is evident from the circumstances or after prior information.

Processing of personal data

When using offers and services, if you contact us – for example by e-mail, telephone or contact form – the data you provide (your e-mail address, possibly your name, your address and your telephone number) will be stored by us. This information is provided on a voluntary basis and with your consent. If this involves information on communication channels (e-mail address, telephone number), you also consent to us contacting you via this communication channel. You can of course revoke this consent at any time. You can also request that we delete the relevant personal data at any time.

Personal data abroad

We generally process personal data in Switzerland and the European Economic Area (EEA). However, we may also export or transfer personal data to other countries, in particular in order to process it or have it processed there. This is done on the basis of an assessment by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or in accordance with a decision by the Federal Council.

Rights of the data subjects

Data subjects whose personal data we process have the rights under Swiss data protection law. These include the right to information and the right to rectification, erasure or blocking of the processed personal data.

You can object to the processing of your personal data in whole or in part at any time or revoke the consent you have given.

Data subjects whose personal data we process also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority. The supervisory authority for data protection in Switzerland is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Data security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures (TOM) to ensure data security appropriate to the respective risk. We cannot guarantee absolute data security.

Personal data that you transmit to us via the website forms is transmitted in encrypted form via a secure connection. The security procedure used (SSL Secure Sockets Layer) corresponds to the usual state of the art. Access to the system is via an authorization procedure. SSL encryption (recognizable by https:// in the address bar of the browser) is a protocol for encrypting data during transmission from the web server to the browser. This transmission offers a particularly high level of security. During transmission, your personal data is encrypted between your computer and our SSL server using the SSL protocol.

Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small text files that your Internet browser places and stores on your computer. They are used to make our website as user-friendly as possible.

These are mostly so-called „session cookies“, which are deleted again at the end of your visit. However, some cookies provide information to automatically recognize your IP address. The information obtained in this way is used to optimize our services and make it easier for you to access our website.

Server log files

Each time the website is accessed, the browser used transmits usage data that is stored in log files – so-called server log files. This data includes Browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL (the URL from which you access the website), host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request, language settings, IP address.

We evaluate these log file data records in order to further improve our website and make it more user-friendly, to find and rectify errors more quickly and to manage server capacities. At the same time, we use the log file data records to defend against attacks on the website. The data collected is anonymized, i.e. it cannot be assigned to specific persons.

Social media plug-ins

We also use plug-ins from social networks such as Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn on our websites.

We have configured these elements so that they are deactivated by default. If you activate them (by clicking on them), the operators of the respective social networks can register that and where you are on our website and can use this information for their own purposes.

The processing of your personal data is then the responsibility of this operator in accordance with its general terms and conditions (GTC), terms of use and data protection provisions. We do not receive any information about you from them.

Third-party services

We use third-party services in order to be able to carry out our activities and operations in a permanent, user-friendly, secure and reliable manner.

For security-related, statistical and technical purposes, third parties whose services we use may process data in connection with our activities and operations in aggregated, anonymized or pseudonymized form. For example, this may involve performance or usage data in order to be able to offer the respective service.

We use for the analysis and further development of our website:

• Google Analytics. Provider: Google LLC (USA) / Google Ireland Limited (Ireland) for users from Switzerland and the EEA, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

To analyze and further develop our website, we use the functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics of Google Inc. in the USA www.google.com). Google Analytics uses cookies that enable website usage to be analyzed. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The data enables us to optimize our website for you. We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. All data is therefore anonymous. Google only informs us how our website is used (no information about you personally).
